Join the 2025 Back-to-School Blitz: Empowering Utah Students Together

As the new school year approaches, many students face challenges in acquiring essential supplies. To bridge this gap, FOX 13 and Granite Credit Union have partnered for the 2025 Back-to-School Blitz, a month-long donation drive aimed at supporting students across five local school districts: Salt Lake, Granite, Murray, Canyons, and Jordan.

How You Can Make a Difference

Throughout August, donation bins are available at all Salt Lake County-based Granite Credit Union branches. Simply drop off new or gently used school supplies to contribute.

Most Needed Supplies

Your donations of the following items will directly benefit students in the participating school districts:

  • Backpacks & Lunchboxes

  • Pencils, Erasers & Sharpeners

  • Notebooks, Paper & Folders

  • Crayons, Markers & Highlighters

  • Scissors, Glue Sticks & Rulers

  • Binders & Index Cards

  • Pencil Cases & Calculators

  • Water Bottles, Tissues & Hand Sanitizer

  • Sticky Notes & Dry Erase Markers

Granite Credit Union's Matching Initiative

To amplify the impact of your generosity, Granite Credit Union will match the first $1000 in donated items during the Blitz, doubling the support for local students.

Additional Support for Educators

Granite Credit Union is also offering 70 educator grants to assist teachers in enhancing their classrooms. These grants can fund supplies, creative projects, field trips, and more. Applications are open through September 7, 2025, at granite.org.

How to Donate

If you're unable to attend the event, you can still contribute by:

  • Visiting any participating Granite Credit Union branch to drop off supplies.

  • Donating online at fox13now.com/schoolsupplies.

  • Texting 'schoolsupplies' to 50155 to make a secure donation.

Every contribution, big or small, helps ensure that Utah students start the school year equipped and ready to succeed.

Let's Make a Lasting Impact

Education is the foundation of a strong, thriving community. By participating in the Back-to-School Blitz, you're investing in the future of Utah's students. Together, we can make this school year the best one yet.
