Unpredictable could be one of the many words we use to describe 2020. We entered a new decade, and within a couple of months, all our lives were flipped upside down because of COVID-19. Many of us have begun working from home and we still are not sure when or if we will return to the office. We have become creative in finding ways to celebrate prom, graduation, and weddings. As things have begun opening in Utah, we are now seeing the number of cases per day increase. This is a sign that the pandemic isn’t over even though we all are so over it. We want to give you some ideas for activities to let you enjoy this summer that are low cost and socially distanced.

Go for a hike. It is easy to forget or never realize how beautiful nature is here in Utah. People all around the world travel here to see Utah’s beauty. Find some trails that are right for you on Visit Utah’s website. Be prepared for your hike with these tips:

  • Most important is to have water
  • Shoes for hiking. This does not include flip flops.
  • Bring snacks. Trail mix is a great snack.
  • You will want to take photos of Utah’s beauty.
  • Wear your mask. There may be times you are unable to have 6ft between you and other hikers.
  • Sunscreen. A sunburn is never pleasant.
